Recess. Now for all Ages

Everyone remembers the freedom of recess. For those few precious minutes, life is carefree and fun is the only requirement. Omaha is a recess-ready city, offering your attendees plenty of playgrounds to enjoy.

Within blocks of the convention center is Omaha’s Old Market Entertainment District - unique boutiques, antique emporiums, art galleries, pubs and more than 30 distinctly Omaha restaurants featuring local farm-to-table favorites and flavors from around the globe. For a relaxing stroll, check out Bob. He’s a one-of-a-kind pedestrian bridge with a larger-than-life personality. He has a Twitter account and loves to connect. Bob stretches 3,000 feet across the Missouri River and is one of the longest pedestrian bridges to link two states. Get your culture fix at Joslyn Art Museum, a pink marble art deco masterpiece, featuring rare works of art from such masters as Rembrandt, Monet and Pollack. Hop on board history at The Durham Museum, where you can explore old-time passenger trains. Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is consistently ranked one of the “Worlds” best by TripAdvisor, and is home to the world’s largest indoor desert and the country’s largest indoor rainforest.
