Omaha Public Schools 150th Anniversary Exhibit
In honor of Omaha Public Schools’ 150th Anniversary, an exhibit at the Durham Museum will take visitors on a journey back to the 1860s to learn what school was like for students and teachers when Omaha was a newly-found frontier town. Visitors will be able to follow an interactive timeline through the district’s interesting and rich history showcasing rare photos and one-of-a-kind artifacts.

The Art and History of Ak-Sar-Ben

Schoolhouse Fiddle Workshop for Folks Who Have Never Fiddled
For folks who have never played a fiddle or violin, and are brave enough to try, come to this workshop. Championship fiddler and fiddle book author Deborah Greenblatt will share some hints about beginning fiddling, shopping for a fiddle, reading music, playing by ear, etc. Fiddles will be available for participants to play, and source lists and advice for further study will be provided.
