Omaha Public Schools 150th Anniversary Exhibit

August 14, 2009 - December 27, 2009

In honor of Omaha Public Schools’ 150th Anniversary, an exhibit at the Durham Museum will take visitors on a journey back to the 1860s to learn what school was like for students and teachers when Omaha was a newly-found frontier town. Visitors will be able to follow an interactive timeline through the district’s interesting and rich history showcasing rare photos and one-of-a-kind artifacts.

RENT at SNAP! Productions

SNAP! Productions to mount the Regional Premiere of RENT. Rent is the story of a community of young artists struggling to make their mark in New York’s rapidly changing East Village of the 1990s. This contemporary rock opera, written and composed by Jonathan Larson, is based on the classic Puccini opera La Boheme.  There will not be a performance on Thanksgiving Day. The theater opens a half hour before curtain time. Tickets can only be purchased on-line at the SNAP! Productions’ website.

Holiday Poinsettia Show
