A comfortable, luxury hotel that is both kid and pet friendly is one of my favorite things and the Magnolia Omaha Hotel has it all! It’s so important to have a relaxing place to call home when traveling with a toddler and dog. The rooms are beautiful, family-friendly and with plenty of fun spots to explore you can easily alternate between nap time to exploring.

Omaha has so many amazing sights to see and activities to offer, from the Number One rated zoo in the country, to the union station train depot where you can board a train, to a bridge that takes you to another state. All of these are wonderful reasons to visit Omaha, but add in the holiday season and family friendly Omaha gets even better!
In perhaps Nebraska’s most innovative and entrepreneurial city, the changes are balanced by the constants: music, art, cuisine — and, of course, Warren Buffett.

Omaha, Neb., and Council Bluffs, Iowa, are far from twin cities, but their proximity to one another makes for a multifaceted destination equipped to serve a wide variety of meeting preferences. While Omaha percolates with urban excitement and Council Bluffs has a more laid-back vibe, both offer groups outstanding amenities, accessibility and services.
In less than three hours you can drive from Kansas City to Omaha, Nebraska. Once there you will find a multitude of attractions, activities, and oddities to keep you occupied. We have made this trip on multiple occasions, and it seems that we always find plenty to keep us busy. This place makes for a wonderful three day weekend destination, and you can still get back home early enough on the Sunday to catch your breath.

Escaping to Omaha for a weekend offers a city steeped in youthful exuberance. Mainstream art is interwoven with street art and greasy spoon eateries are enjoyed alongside one of America’s finest restaurants. In fact, Omaha is worth visiting just for the experience of eating at The Grey Plume.
For the last year or so, I’ve been “talking the talk” with friends about how we need to do more weekend road trips to nearby cities in the Midwest.
We were recently invited to visit Omaha and enjoyed 48 hours acquainting ourselves with the Nebraska city. We already knew that major attractions include the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, the Lauritzen Gardens and the Joslyn Art Museum, so we dug a little deeper and found a few other must-stop spots if you find yourself in the city for a quick trip.
