As we bid farewell to 2024, Omaha gears up for New Year’s Eve events catering to various tastes. We’ve got your ticket to welcome 2025 in style.
For a night of throwback musical fun, head to The Waiting Room, where beloved Omaha band Secret Weapon will pack the dance floor playing retro hits. At Slowdown, DJs will keep the party rocking only pausing for a midnight champagne toast. Must be 21+. To celebrate with "Bridgerton" panache, head to Joslyn Castle for the Four Seasons Ball.
Book your table now for a delicious end to 2024 in Omaha. The Boiler Room is offering a six-course tasting menu with an optional wine pairing. Le Voltaire has two New Year’s Eve seatings -- one from 5pm to 7:30pm and another from 8:30pm to close. For $200 per couple, enjoy a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white wine, two glasses of champagne, appetizer, entree and dessert. Gather in Omaha is offering a fresh and flavorful New Year's Eve prix fixe menu for $85 per person with seatings beginning at 5pm.
Holiday vibes, festive drinks, and over-the-top decor -- Omaha’s holiday pop-up bars are a must this season. Don't Stop Believing at Mercury serves festive drinks in holiday glasses. The Grinch's Lair at Blackstone Social offers Grinch-themed fun and Mount Crumpit Mules. The Holiday Hut at Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel is a cozy spot for a special cocktail. Sip a hot cider, mulled wine and more at Under the Mistletoe at Crescent Moon. Barnato's Speakeasy is a holiday wonderland.
Welcome the new year at Venues at the Granary with a night of live music and a DJ. The party culminates outside at midnight with a live outdoor ball drop followed by fireworks. Fortunately for the early-to-bed crowd, the annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks Spectacular begins earlier. Free parking opens at the CHI Health Center Omaha lots at 6pm. Tune your radio to STAR 104.5 to listen to the holiday soundtrack to the fireworks show that begins at 7pm.
Embrace the tranquility of nature as you walk scenic trails on Hitchcock Nature Center’s New Year's Eve Sunset Hike. Watch the sun set on 2024 as you join a member of the environmental education team for the guided journey. If you’d do it the next day, First Day Hikes are available at many Nebraska State Parks, including Platte River State Park and Ponca State Park.
Enjoy your festivities in Omaha, and be safe! A note: Omaha Metro, the city’s mass transit bus system, operates on New Year’s Eve; check the website for schedules. Taxi services include zTrip and Uber.
And if you’re traveling with kids, be sure to check out “Fun for Families this New Year’s Eve in Omaha.” Happy New Year!
