As we bid farewell to 2025, Omaha gears up for New Year’s Eve events catering to various tastes. We’ve got your ticket to welcome 2026 in style.
For a night of throwback musical fun, head to The Waiting Room, where Fountains of Dane plays the best from your 90s-era CD collection (ages 21+). At Slowdown, Crabrangucci, Tyrone Storm and Coco keep the beats flowing as free as the bubbly (ages 21+).
Holiday vibes, festive drinks, and over-the-top decor -- Omaha’s holiday pop-up bars are a must this season. Mercury serves festive drinks in holiday glasses. Blackstone Social offers holiday-themed fun. The Holiday Hut at Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel is a cozy spot for a special cocktail. Sip a hot cider, mulled wine and more under the mistletoe at Crescent Moon. Barnato's Speakeasy is a holiday wonderland.

Welcome the new year at Venues at the Granary with a night of live music and a DJ The party culminates outside at midnight with a live outdoor ball drop followed by fireworks. Fortunately for the early-to-bed crowd, the annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks Spectacular begins earlier. Free parking opens at the CHI Health Center Omaha lots at 6pm. Tune your radio to STAR 104.5 to listen to the holiday soundtrack to the fireworks show that begins at 7pm.

Embrace the tranquility of nature as you walk scenic trails on Hitchcock Nature Center’s New Year's Eve Sunset Hike. Watch the sun set on 2025 as you join a member of the environmental education team for the guided journey. First Day Hikes are available at many Nebraska State Parks, including Platte River State Park and Ponca State Park.
Enjoy your festivities in Omaha, and be safe! A note: Omaha Metro, the city’s mass transit bus system, operates on New Year’s Eve; check the website for schedules. Taxi services include zTrip and Uber.
And if you’re traveling with kids, be sure to check out “Fun for Families this New Year’s Eve in Omaha.” Happy New Year!
