This Now Serving Omaha webisode invites you to take a culinary excursion throughout Europe (with a visit to Omaha). Located in the historic Dundee neighborhood, Dario’s Brasserie sizzles with Belgian fare infused with French, Dutch and English influences.
Menu staples that keep regulars coming back for more include escargot, pommes frites, moules (or mussels) and short ribs. The escargots are served in bubbly garlic butter with parsley and a crusty sliced baguette (and we recommend you use the baguette to soak up the remaining garlic butter – you’ll want to enjoy every drop). The Belgian Pommes Frites, served family style in a funnel shaped basket, are hand cut and served with a creamy herb aioli. Is your palate leaning more toward the sea? Then order les moules, as Dario’s offers a variety of mussel dishes. Popeye’s Moules Platter is covered in spinach, bacon, cream and gruyere cheese. Moules a la Bruxelles is smothered in garlic confit cream, leeks, celery and flanked by pommes frites. Many regulars will encourage you to try the short ribs. This fan favorite is fork-tender beef short ribs doused in red wine veal jus and pommes puree.
Knowledgeable servers will suggest wine and beer pairings to complement your meal or choose from an extensive cocktail menu. Come in, relax and bon appétit!
