Kith & Kin
In the heart of Omaha’s historic Dundee neighborhood, Kith & Kin strives to make every guest feel at home by serving Southern-style fare with a heaping helping of Midwestern hospitality. Walking in, the cool atmosphere envelops you in a warm hug with soft lighting emanating from sparkling chandeliers, purple walls filled with mesmerizing art, and gold accents throughout that complete the regal décor.
The menu matches the ambiance with tempting craft cocktails and smile-inducing dish descriptions that make it hard to choose. Starters include fried green tomatoes topped with candied bacon, tomatoes, Cajun remoulade, and the option to add blackened shrimp (always add blackened shrimp!). The Kith & Kin skillet cornbread is a favorite among the staff and regulars. The light and fluffy bread is served in a cast iron skillet with warm honey and whipped butter. Entrees include crispy bayou catfish, rubbed ribs, a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and a PB&J with a very special twist. The K&K PB&J features braised pork belly topped with smoked apple jelly cream, pimento cheese, lettuce, and tomato served on a toasted ciabatta bun.
It’s hard to know where to start…or when to stop. The 10 tastiest days of the year is the perfect time to try this comfy new hot spot.
