Holiday Poinsettia Show

More than 5,600 poinsettia plants are grown in Lauritzen Gardens' greenhouses starting as early as July for this annual holiday show. This spectacular exhibit includes a 20-foot-tall poinsettia tree, beautifully decorated holiday trees, antique sleighs and model trains that travel through the display.

Village Pointe Holiday Lighting Ceremony

November 27, 2010

A family-friendly concert at 6 pm at the Alegent Health Amphitheatre with complimentary hot cider and cookies. At 7 pm, a whimsical parade led by a local marching band, with Mrs. Claus arriving by "Cinderalla" carriage. There will be a tree lighting ceremony, followed by a chance to visit with Santa at the Cinema, with free horse and carriage rides.

Santa is coming to town… and he will be making a special stop at Omaha’s Zoo to dive in the Scott Aquarium shark tunnel. Watch Santa have a great time swimming among sharks, stingrays and sea turtles. The 70 foot-long tunnel in the Scott Aquarium gives visitors a great view of Santa swimming as well as a glimpse from the bottom of the ocean floor.
