Junkstock

A biannual two-weekend event that invites folks to “junk” to their hearts’ content.

This vintage celebration at Sycamore Farms just west of Omaha is the perfect way to welcome the new season. Its spring event in May is a treat for the senses, drawing people outdoors as warmer weather beckons. Its harvest edition in September/October brings with it all the autumn goodies: bonfires, pumpkin spice lattes, kettle corn, chrysanthemums, a giant pumpkin house and hayrack rides.

During Junkstock, dozens of "junk" vendors from around the U.S. offer up their unique antiques, repurposed relics, and handmade artisan foods and goods for excited shoppers and collectors who travel from across the Midwest. Each weekend is punctuated by live music, a kids zone, and of course, food. Sink your teeth into a fresh apple cider donut, indulge in a bloody mary, or try one of the dozens of food trucks on the premises. Don’t miss the photo opportunities galore – like an aquamarine VW bus.

The event is rain or shine, with many of the vendors set up indoors. Kids under age 12 get in for free and well behaved, leashed pets are welcome at this charming century-old farm.
