Senator McKinney's district is where Omaha’s history comes to life. Stop by the Malcom X birth-site, walk through the Great Plains Black History Museum, and gaze at the Fertile Ground Mural which stands 70 feet tall and spans 465 feet long. One of the largest murals in the country, the 32,500 art piece tells the story of Omaha from historical references to present-day neighbors. Enjoy soul food from Big Mama’s Kitchen.
