Omaha Live Music and Concerts

Known for its indie music scene, Omaha is a hub for underground artists and nationally known acts. Whether you’re interested in rock, folk, blues, or jazz there’s a live music venue to enjoy.

The Admiral (formerly Sokol Auditorium) is a hot spot for local and traveling musical acts. The Slowdown, the brainchild of the folks behind Saddle Creek Records, opened in 2007 to give the Omaha area a unique indie rock venue. Benson is home to some of the coolest venues in the city including The Waiting Room Lounge, which offers a variety of live musical performances nearly every night from local, national, and international acts. Other funky neighborhood bars serving up music include The Sydney and Reverb Lounge.

Omaha Performing Arts provides the best Broadway, jazz, blues, dance, comedy family, and popular entertainment. Its landmark venues, the Orpheum Theater and Holland Performing Arts Center, present world-class performances and events year-round.

Top touring acts light up the stage at Omaha’s downtown arena. The arena seats 18,300 and attracts a variety of national performers.

In the summer months, music hits a high note in all corners of the city. Catch Jazz on the Green with live Latin, reggae, big band music and more every Thursday night at Turner Park at Midtown Crossing. Intimate, free outdoor live concerts can be found throughout Omaha in the summertime.

Omaha’s live music scene lights up all week long in bars, clubs, and pubs throughout the city, including The Down Under and The Jewell. Browse below to see Omaha’s live music calendar.
