The RiverFront Omaha

Three vibrant parks in the heart of Omaha’s downtown and along the riverfront will offer unique experiences for all–and the fun’s just beginning.

The RiverFront, a $325 million transformational development, combines three public parks into one identity. The newly reopened Gene Leahy Mall in the heart of downtown includes exciting amenities like a Performance Pavilion, state-of-the-art playground, interactive water features, Sculpture Garden, dog park, and plenty more spaces to gather, relax and have fun. Guests will enjoy live concerts, movies in the park, pop-up events like yoga and art workshops, and easy access to books, games, art, and more portable fun.

The RiverFront’s two other parks, Heartland of America Park and Lewis and Clark Landing, will open in late summer 2023. These two parks east of Gene Leahy Mall and along the riverfront will include a skate ribbon, amphitheater, bocce courts, a pier extending to the Missouri River, an Urban Beach, prairie garden, destination playgrounds, and more. Also coming to the riverfront in 2023 is the Kiewit Luminarium, a multi-million-dollar interactive family museum dedicated to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

The three parks will all eventually connect, bridging Omaha’s Old Market Entertainment District with vibrant North Downtown.
