Sports Fan – Itinerary

You love the thrill of the game, and Omaha is right there with you. From great golf to the best college baseball in the country, Omaha and sports go hand in glove. Since you like watching sports, we’ll assume you also enjoy playing them. See below for a recommended itinerary for a sports-filled visit to a city that appreciates sports and offers competitive fun at every turn.

If it’s a weekend morning, head to Jams and order from an extensive menu offering a variety of flavors in a cool, laid-back atmosphere.

Take a Hike in Fontenelle Forest

Fontenelle Forest’s 19 miles of trails of varying lengths and climbs offer an invigorating way to explore the region’s forests.

Fun at TreeRush 

After your warm up in Fontenelle Forest, challenge yourself at TreeRush Adventures at Fontenelle Forest. Navigate suspended obstacles, bridges, rope ladders, tunnels, and other surprises in this aerial amusement park.

Dinner in NoDo 

Plenty of restaurants and sports bars are equipped with TVs for watching the big game in the North Downtown Entertainment District, or NoDo. Winning restaurants that are just a walk away from the stadium and arena include: The Session Room, serving up craft drinks alongside a chef-curated menu; The Old Mattress Factory Bar and Grill, a happening sports bar; and DJ’s Dugout, a local favorite for sports, food and fun.

Catch the Game

If you can, catch a game in person. CHI Health Center Omaha is the home arena for Creighton Men’s Basketball, and nearby Charles Schwab Field is home to the NCAA Men’s College World Series every June. Omaha’s sporting landscape also includes professional hockey, arena football, men's pro soccer, women's pro volleyball, and AAA baseball.

Brunch at The Good Life

Fuel up for another action-filled day at The Good Life Sports Bar & Grill, with a weekend brunch menu including steak and eggs and breakfast pizza.

Go Golfing
