In the heart of Omaha, Inner Rail Food Hall in Aksarben Village boasts 10 curated vendors offering a global array of cuisines. Just outside is an outdoor plaza and certified entertainment district where patrons can enjoy their drinks while playing outdoor games and cozying up next to the fire pits. Next, Flagship Commons in Westroads Mall is Nebraska’s first food hall concept with nine stalls. The modernized food court is complete with a cozy fireplace at the center, a favorite feature after an afternoon spent shopping. On a smaller scale, Dining Room inside the Highlander Accelerator is home to three African-American owned businesses serving up soul food, burgers and drinks. Among them is Big Mama’s Kitchen, a television culinary staple famous for their fried chicken and sweet potato pie ice cream.
