Fertile Ground Mural

Measuring 70 feet tall and 465 feet long, the mural titled "Fertile Ground" is one of the largest murals in the country. Created by internationally acclaimed artist Meg Saligman, the 32,500 square-foot masterpiece tells the story of Omaha from historical references to present-day neighbors to the far-reaching dreams of the many children in the mural. The mural is largest public art project in the history of the city and was a gift to Omaha from the Peter Kiewit Foundation.
