Neale Woods is a 550-acre conservation area that is owned and operated by Fontenelle Forest, a privately funded non-profit organization. Home to abundant plant and wildlife, Neale Woods offers a hiking experience that is truly unique to any other in the greater Omaha metro area. In a single afternoon, you can encounter a range of vastly different ecosystems, from deciduous forest to oak savannah, floodplain, and prairie. Neale Woods also offers a unique, up-close look at the many conservation techniques our staff utilize to preserve and maintain the land so that it can be enjoyed by the community for years to come, including habitat restoration, prescribed fire, and erosion and invasive species control. Trails are open unless marked as closed for trail maintenance. Please respect all trail signage. Daily admission can be paid on-site or online at https://fontenelleforest.org/nw. For annual access, become a Fontenelle Forest member at our website.
