The Omaha Community Playhouse is the largest community theatre in the nation, features local talent both on stage and behind the scenes and achieves production values comparable to a professional theater. The Howard Drew Theatre is a flexible Black Box theatre space with approximately 200 seats. The Howard and Rhonda Hawks Mainstage Theatre is a classic proscenium style theatre with 560 seats. The Omaha Community Playhouse offers over 10 productions in their annual season with multiple special events. For 92 years, the Playhouse has been a cultural gem in the city of Omaha.
