Food Bank for the Heartland
A portion of Omaha Restaurant Week proceeds goes to Food Bank for the Heartland.
Delicious food aside, the best part of this annual event is that diners will be dining for a cause as Omaha Restaurant Week continues to support Food Bank for the Heartland. All participating restaurants donate 5% of all Omaha Restaurant Week menu item sales to the Food Bank. Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, Food Bank for the Heartland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Their mission is to eliminate hunger in the Heartland by ensuring consistent access to healthy foods through community partnerships. Food Bank for the Heartland works with 555 Network Partners in 93 counties across Nebraska and western Iowa offering multiple hunger-relief and nutrition programs. In FY 2024, the Food Bank served 600,000 households—the most in their history.
