Omaha is the place to be if you want to find the latest trends in the sports world. This week the city hosts 500 members of the National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) for the organization's annual convention and meeting.

This prestigious event was held in Dallas last year and will be held in Denver next year, "Omaha's ability to play in the same arena with these larger cities proves Omaha continues to compete and grow as a convention destination.” said Dana Markel, the Executive Director of the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCVB).

NASC is the sports event industry's leading networking organization. Founded in 1992, the association represents over 425 organizations and 300 cities within the sports event industry.

NASC Executive Director, Don Schumacher will be able to talk about the latest national trends in the sports industry.  If you would like to schedule an interview, please call Dan Morrissey, President of the Omaha Sports Commission and NASC member at (402) 677-9360.
