Omaha, NE – June 10, 2025 – After an impressive 20-year career with Visit Omaha, Cathy Keller has announced her retirement from the role of Vice President of Sales and Services. Throughout her tenure, Cathy has been recognized for her dedication, passion and commitment to excellence, making a significant impact on both the Omaha community and the tourism industry at large.
Cathy’s leadership has created a revenue-driven sales team that continues to excel. Her ability to foster strong long-term relationships with partners, stakeholders and industry leaders solidifies a legacy of excellence that will endure long into the future.

Leadership Transition
In Cathy’s absence, the sales division will be led by a team of seasoned professionals, including Mattie Scheeter, Mark Rath, Matt Heck and Erin Brungardt, who will oversee the department until Cathy’s replacement is selected.
A Career Built on Excellence
Cathy played a pivotal role in the opening of notable properties, including Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizona, and The Harbor Court in Baltimore, Maryland. She also held leadership positions at the Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska, before joining the Omaha Mayor’s office in 2004 as a convention sales consultant. Her tenure at the Omaha Convention & Visitors Bureau, later known as Visit Omaha, began one year later.
