Eight of college’s best baseball teams battle it out during June’s NCAA Men’s College World Series, and athletes swing their way to victory in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Pinnacle Bank Golf Championship in July.

In June, Taste of Omaha gives foodies a sampling of Omaha’s culinary scene, and the Omaha Summer Arts Festival hosts 135 artists from across the nation. In July, the community celebrates Pride during the Heartland Pride Festival and five area attractions celebrate everything train and track during Railroad Days. 

More fun awaits outdoors. Stroll the Omaha Farmers Market on weekends, and revel in the sweet sounds of jazz on Thursdays during Jazz on the Green. Take in summer’s vibrant colors with a walk through 75,000 sunflowers at Nelson Produce + Farm, and return to your hotel room or home w/ freshly picked zinnias from Ditmar’s Orchard & Vineyard. While you’re at local orchards, go strawberry picking.

Fun-PlexWater fun can create some of the most thrilling memories. Ride the water with paddleboard tours with Driftwood Paddleboard Adventures, or a standup paddleboard rental from Neighborhood Offshore. Try tanking with Tank Down the Elkhorn or tubing with Tubing & Adventures. If you have a need for speed, hop aboard one of the Bryson Airboat Tours. In the water, cool off at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium’s Alaskan Adventure, a massive spray ground complete with 75 bronze sculptures. Splash around at Fun Plex’s 16 acres of water fun, with mini golf, Go-Karts, and more mixed in. Head to one of many area spraygrounds in between meals and big fun to keep the kiddos happy.
